Brow up eyebrows: what is this popular technique?

Thick and voluminous eyebrows , easily and effortlessly, this is the promise of brow-up.

This new trend consists of thickening and lifting eyebrows in a more natural way, like Cara Delevingne.

What is eyebrow brow-up?

Also called brow-lift or eyebrow enhancement , the brow-up is a particularly popular technique currently. It consists of restructuring the eyebrow to give it a thicker and fuller appearance. We thus modify the movement of the hairs, making them go upwards, in order to particularly work and enhance the look.

As you know, today the trend is for thick, full eyebrows. Yes, but often thick eyebrows become bushy and require regular styling to maintain a nice shape. Originating from Russia, brow-up is a process which consists of straightening and fixing the hair upwards. Thanks to several products, eyebrow hairs become malleable. They are easier to style and discipline. We thus give them the desired shape and reshape the eyebrow, for a controlled “combed-disheveled” effect and thickened and enhanced eyebrows .

How it works ?

Completely painless , the Brow-up of eyebrows (or Brow-Lift) allows you to thicken and reshape your eyebrows by fixing the hairs one by one in a precise position for several weeks. [Line break] Although it is possible to do it yourself, it is recommended to go to a specialized institute, especially for your first brow-up . Indeed, the beautician will be able to analyze your face and determine the most suitable eyebrow shape . She will also know how to correctly apply and dose the products.

The brow-up is carried out in several stages:

  • we clean and style the eyebrow in order to prepare it
  • we apply a first lotion aimed at softening the hair in order to style it upwards
  • we then fix the eyebrows using a product (fixing gel) and leave it on for a few minutes
  • we then use a moisturizing serum to nourish and protect the eyebrow
  • we pluck the eyebrows in order to trim them and remove the excess hairs
  • In certain cases, a dye is made to support and darken the eyebrow.

How long does it last ?

Just as with eyelash extensions , the hold of your brow-up will mainly depend on the life cycle of your eyebrows. Most often, your eyebrows remain beautifully styled for one to two months . Obviously, the more you take care of your eyebrows during this period, the longer the brow-lift will last.

Certain precautions should also be observed:

  • do not wet your eyebrows for 24 hours after the treatment, nor expose them to steam
  • avoid brow-up on hairs that are too fragile or too fine

 Eyebrow brow-up: for whom?

This technique, very popular at the moment, is an excellent alternative to permanent eyebrow makeup . Nothing is injected into the skin, it is simply a matter of naturally styling and disciplining the eyebrows using a succession of products and lotions.

So, it is accessible and suitable for all types of eyebrows : full or thin, brown, blond or red… Even these gentlemen can try it! Yes, the brow-lift can correct your curly or vertical eyebrow hairs. Brow enhancement is perfect for bushy, difficult to style and unruly eyebrows in both men and women.

Do you have rather thin eyebrows? Thanks to this technique, they will be stronger and more defined, thus offering more intensity to your eyes!

However, we see the best results on women with frizzy or drooping eyebrows (whose hair falls downward) because the brow-up really opens the eyes and restores freshness and liveliness.

Brow-up or (semi)permanent makeup?

Are you hesitating between these two techniques? Both brow-up and permanent makeup allow you to enhance your look by reshaping your eyebrows and giving them thickness and volume . However, some differences, advantages and disadvantages, must be taken into consideration when making your choice.

Permanent or semi-permanent makeup has the advantage of lasting longer (between 6 months and 1 year). However, this is a process that can be slightly painful since the skin is pigmented directly like a tattoo. This technique is therefore more expensive than brow-up.

The brow-up or eyebrow enhancement, for its part, has a shorter lifespan. This will need to be done again every 6 to 8 weeks . However, it is a completely painless and less expensive process . It can also be done yourself, at home, provided you have the right products and master this technique.

If you are still having trouble deciding, we advise you to seek the advice of a beautician or any other specialist who will be able to guide you according to your skin, your eyebrows and your needs!

Cordialement Mlle Zerrougui Sonia.
